CLIMATE CHANGE JARGON

BLUE CARBON: The carbondioxide of the air that dissolves in vast ocean system is called blue carbon. As the amount of carbondioxide increases in the air due to human activites of burning fossil fuels and excessive deforestation  accodingly the amount of co2  dissoved in sea water increases. This leads to so many changes in marine ecosystem mainly OCEAN ACIDIFICATION.

CARBON FOOTPRINT:The  amount of co2 released by energy consuming activities of a person, household or an industry.

OCEAN ACIDIFICATION: The increase in the acidity of the ocean waters  due to excessive dissolution of CO2 is called Ocean Acidification.this occurs as CO2 reactsH2O to form carbonic acid. One of the identified  fallout is increased corrosion of the coral reefs which are the hubs of biodiversity.
